The D.J. Shults Brotherhood Scholarship was established in 1981 by Montana Beta Chapter member Dosia J. Shults. As a tribute to the positive fraternal experience he had during his undergraduate years, Brother Shults endowed this scholarship through the University of Montana Foundation.
Scholarship Criteria
- Member in good standing of the Montana Beta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
- Participation in community activities
- Active in Chapter activities
- Applicant must demonstrate financial need
- Additional criteria may include; years of fraternity involvement, difficulty of curriculum and class load, initiative, leadership roles, live-in status, activities within and outside the fraternity

Please include a copy of your transcripts. These scholarships are typically between $500 -$1500 and are paid directly to the University of Montana to offset student costs. Applications are due March 1st and will be awarded in April for the following fall and spring semesters.
