Dick Ford Leadership Scholarship Criteria

The Dick Ford Leadership Scholarship was established in 2022 by Montana Beta alumni in honor of Dick Ford (’64.) Dick was a die-hard Griz fan and a strong supporter of Montana Beta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and he took great pleasure in the lifelong friendships he made along the way. He proudly served as a member of the University of Montana Foundation Board and is a much beloved family member, friend, and alum.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Member in good standing at Montana Beta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity
  • GPA consistent with good academic standing at the University of Montana
  • Undergraduate active Montana Beta member
  • Active in Chapter activities
  • Demonstrates conduct consistent with the principles of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and “The True Gentleman”
  • Demonstrates positive leadership and qualities of a good role model
  • Participation in community activities
  • Involvement in campus activities and organizations

Apply for the Dick Ford Leadership Scholarship

These scholarships are for $1000 and are paid directly to the University of Montana to offset student costs. Applications are due March 1st and will be awarded in April for the following fall and spring semesters.
